Pre-Kindergarten is Voluntary in California. Here, you can enroll your child, specifically 3.5 years of age, to a Pre-K preparatory education before s/he enters the national formal education system to Kindergarten.

There are an ample of discovery and fun activities your child can engage into while in the Pre-K program. This is usually most admitted to by children who haven’t started any child care or pre-education before. Here, children are allowed to create, explore, and ask questions about the things they find interesting. This program is motivational in nature, which means giving the child the headstart to be made as his/her ground in forming future learnings, knowledge, and skills. It’s like an endless pursuit of building on what the child knows and s/he can do to generate new concepts and ideas around the environment he/she is in.

Our teachers at Learning Clock Montessori School are experts at handling all classroom situations. They plan, organize, and facilitate the implementation of concrete learning activities to be assimilated into the child’s schema and concept cabinets. They also help the children build on their values such as respect for others , courtesy, and independence.

The content of our Pre-K Program are listed below:

  • Phonemic Awareness
  • Phonics
  • Understanding
  • Conversation
  • Words and Vocabulary

Language is stressed in this stage, as their future academic engagements in formal education would be highly dependent on language – what they know and how they process words into abstract thoughts.

The content is translated into a daily dose of fun games and learning activities which the child can enjoy in an environment that provides him/her the security, the opportunity to participate, and the encouragement to achieve their very own pathways to early success.
